One of the great things about being a hotel email marketing service provider is, we collect a ton of data on what works and doesn’t work for hoteliers. It’s easy to find general email marketing best practices across industries, but as many hoteliers know, the hospitality industry is different. Many hotel marketers are finding that it’s critical to get data specific to the hospitality industry to get a better idea of which tactics will be successful for their specific audience.
Of course, it’s also important to do your own testing. The needs of independent hotels will be different from those of brands, city center hotels will need to employ different tactics than destination resorts, and so on. But, with that in mind, we looked at our data from emails delivered in 2016 to discover some best practices for greater success in hotel email marketing for 2017. Our tips include specifics on more effective email timing, the types of campaigns that delivered increased engagement and conversions for our hotel customers, and more.
Check out the infographic below to discover our findings. Again, it’s important to do your own testing to discover what works best for your audience, but these tips are a good starting point.
